March 25, 2020
With COVID-19 on the minds of many, we want to take a moment to personally update you on the steps we are taking at V-Key to ensure the continuity of our business and support functions of our customers.
V-Key is committed to ensuring that we are able to continue providing the highest levels of support to our customers during this difficult time, while establishing a safe working environment for our employees.
Latest guidance as of 25th March 2020:
- We have asked employees to begin working from home fully in Singapore, and in alternating teams in Vietnam. Adapting to the changes have been smooth, as digital collaboration tools have already been a constant in our day to day work, and V-Key has already been observing split team operations since 10 February in Singapore, and 13 March in Vietnam.
Additional guidance previously given to employees:
- All non-essential work related travel will be deferred until further notice. Personal travel is highly discouraged and overseas leave is subject to management’s approval.
- All employees arriving from Hubei province to Singapore will be quarantined for 14 days. Employees returning from any other destination will be required to remain in their place of residence at all times for a 14-day period under the Stay-Home Notice (SHN). The company will be required to apply for government approval before confirmation of employees’ flights back to Singapore.
- Guests and visitors who have been experiencing flu-like symptoms, have a temperature above 37.5 degree Celsius, and/or have not served out their 14-day SHN/quarantine after arriving in Singapore will not be allowed to enter the office and are advised to seek medical attention immediately.
As we deal with this pandemic, we will continue our efforts to make certain that our employees remain focused on our operations, and that there will be no disruption to our commitments to our customers’ needs.
We will keep everyone updated on any further changes, and please know that we always value your questions, ideas, and feedback.
Whatever happens next, we will be working hard to do our part in making it easier to surpass these obstacles. Let’s rise to the challenge together.
Sincerely,
Joseph Gan
