V-Key and Chekk Partner on Mobile-First Digital Identity

Alliance combines V-Key’s patented mobile security with Chekk’s KYC and KYB platform, delivering a single journey from verified onboarding to trusted authentication.

Singapore / Hong Kong, May 2026 — V-Key, a global leader in software-based digital identity and mobile application security, and Chekk, the digital identity and regulatory compliance platform, today entered into a strategic partnership to deliver one of the most comprehensive mobile-first identity experiences on the market.

The partnership integrates Chekk’s identity verification, customer due diligence, and ongoing monitoring services directly into the V-Key Universal Identity Platform.

The alliance comes as financial services enters a period of accelerated digital transformation. Regulators across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East are tightening expectations around perpetual KYC, real-time risk assessment, and consumer data protection, while customers increasingly demand instant, frictionless digital access. The combined offering closes the long-standing gap between who a customer is and how they securely transact every day.

V-Key secures the mobile layer through its globally patented V-OS Virtual Secure Element, which today protects more than 600 million mobile installations across regulated banks, telcos, and government services. Chekk owns the identity and compliance layer, with a modular platform spanning video ID&V, anti-fraud checks, AML, PEP and sanctions screening, entity unwrapping with ultimate beneficial owner discovery, and a consent-based data wallet for perpetual KYC. Together, the two companies cover the full customer lifecycle from first-time verified onboarding to continuous biometric and device-bound authentication to ongoing re-verification, inside the customer’s own mobile application.

As enterprises accelerate their digital transformation, real-time identity verification has become inseparable from securing the mobile experience itself,” said Joseph Gan, CEO and Co-Founder of V-Key. “Bringing Chekk’s compliance-grade verification into the V-Key Universal Identity Platform gives our customers a turnkey path to onboard verified users and maintain trust across the entire customer lifecycle. This is the future of digital trust: portable, privacy-preserving, and built for mobile.”

Both companies bring institutional-grade credibility. V-Key’s technology is certified to FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria EAL3+, FIDO2, SOC 2, and IMDA standards, and is trusted by the most heavily regulated financial institutions in Asia Pacific. Chekk holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications, with HSBC and Standard Chartered among its investors and clients. The combined stack is designed to clear the highest bars set by regulators including MAS, HKMA, APRA, BSSN, and the EU.

The geographic reach of the two companies is equally complementary. V-Key brings significant penetration across more than 15 countries, including key markets in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the Middle East. Chekk extends the proposition, including into Europe and Asia, with clients across retail and corporate banking, asset and wealth management, fintech, digital assets and beyond the financial industry (corporate services, international shipping…) The result is a near-global footprint supporting cross-border onboarding and consent-based data portability through a single integration.

“For Chekk, this partnership opens access to one of the largest mobile-first identity ecosystems in the world, and to a customer base that has set the bar for what regulated mobile experiences should look like,” said Pascal Nizri, CEO and Co-founder of Chekk. “Banks, fintechs and all companies which need to onboard and verify individuals or entities (customers, partners, suppliers…), get an integration path that turns regulatory complexity into a genuine competitive advantage.”

For customers, the partnership translates into tangible outcomes. Verification flows embed directly inside V-Key-secured applications, eliminating the browser hand-offs and third-party redirects that drive drop-off and fraud exposure. Chekk’s perpetual KYC and AML monitoring plug into V-Key’s continuously authenticated device and biometric signals, moving institutions decisively beyond point-in-time checks. Banks, fintechs, and companies beyond the financial industry gain faster time-to-market through a single integration rather than stitching together multiple vendors. And privacy-by-design comes standard, combining V-Key’s privacy-preserving biometrics with Chekk’s consent-based data wallet to align with GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, and emerging data-sovereignty requirements.
