Since our inception in 2011, V-Key has established itself as a trusted leader in mobile security. With a focus on enhancing authentication and protecting mobile environments, we’ve developed solutions that foster trust and enable seamless experiences for businesses and their customers. This year, V-Key ID has strengthened our portfolio, advancing digital identity by simplifying user authentication and maintaining the highest privacy standards. It enables identity portability by allowing businesses to securely verify identities across platforms with an effortless API integration, ensuring privacy while providing smooth and efficient authentication. Built with ZeroBiometrics™ technology, V-Key ID sets new standards for user trust, safeguarding privacy while delivering seamless user experiences.

V-Key’s commitment to data security is reflected in our achievement of SOC 2 Type 2 certification, validating the strength of our security controls. From data encryption to intrusion detection, our comprehensive measures ensure that customer data remains secure and protected across all platforms.

In 2024, we introduced V-OS App Shield, a no-code mobile app security solution designed for businesses looking for a quick and effective way to secure mobile applications without modifying source code. Alongside it, V-OS Mobile App Protection provides multi-layered defenses with features such as Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) and threat response customization, providing enterprises with tailored protection for complex security needs. Both solutions share the foundation of V-Key’s patented V-OS Virtual Secure Element technology.

These solutions offer businesses flexible options to navigate the evolving threat landscape, strengthen user trust, and address security needs across sectors.

This year, we extended our support to Huawei’s HarmonyOS NEXT, a major leap forward in mobile security. Built on Huawei’s independent Hongmeng kernel, HarmonyOS NEXT marks a shift towards a self-sufficient app ecosystem. By integrating V-OS App Protection and V-OS Smart Token SDKs into this platform, ensuring top-tier security as it evolves into a unique, independent system for developers. V-Key’s involvement reinforces our commitment to providing comprehensive security solutions across all major platforms.

This milestone marks a quarter-century of leadership and innovation in the telecommunications industry. Our partnership with Bridge Alliance has been instrumental in advancing mobile security, especially through the integration of Silent Network Authentication (SNA) into V-Key ID. By leveraging telco real-time data, SNA enhances authentication and fraud prevention, enabling businesses to confirm phone numbers securely and reduce the risk of fraudulent activities. This collaboration has not only strengthened our security offerings but also helped shape the future of secure digital identities, empowering businesses to offer more reliable and trusted services to their customers.

Making 2FA/MFA robust against smishing and related attacks

2FA/MFA was introduced to make it harder for attackers, by requiring two or more proofs of identity – also known as authentication factors. These can take many forms, but can be boiled down to: something you know (e.g., a password), something you have (e.g., a cryptographic key), or something you are (e.g., a biometric ID that is unique to you) [1].
