PHILIPPINES, May 2023 – Mobile applications have transformed how Filipinos communicate, shop, finance, and do business in the Philippines. According to a report by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group, cybercrime cases in the country increased by 80% in 2020 compared to the previous year, and according to Statista, the number of smartphone users in the Philippines is expected to reach 40.9 million by 2023, accounting for a significant portion of the country’s population.

They should also use strong, unique passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, and avoid connecting to public Wi-Fi networks without a VPN. Despite these security measures, mobile app users in the Philippines are still vulnerable to cyber-attacks, and this is where cybersecurity solutions come in. Cybersecurity is a pressing issue in the Philippines, particularly regarding mobile app usage. Users can take steps to protect their mobile apps and data, but the risk of cyber-attacks remains high.
